shocking.

Okay so I will just say one thing about this whole Mayor scandal stuff.

I could not believe how much the Mayor and his Chief of Staff used "LOL" in their text messages. It felt very "6th grade" to me. Seriously. I think that was more disturbing to me than the other stuff.

Oh.

Except for the whole perjury thing. That was pretty disturbing.

And yes. I know I am old and there was no such thing as text messages when I was in 6th grade. Kiss my Hello Kitty ass.

I started to write a post about the drama with Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and his ex-Chief of Staff, Christine Beatty. However, because I am currently interning for a Detroit City Council Member, I decided it would be a bad idea. If you have any questions about what is going on in the D, feel free to email me and I'll try to answer honestly and without sarcasm. ;)

The camera store called tonight to tell me the camera is in. I didn't get a chance to pick it up tonight so I'll go tomorrow.

I really really really hope that lady has the day off!!

shopping for a hobby.

I decided I want to be a photographer when I grow up. After a little, or a lot, of research, I decided to buy a camera. Yay!! I had to order it and it will be in sometime next week. The lady at the store was very nice, helpful, and um...interesting. After she placed the order she said, "I'm so excited for you!" and I thought she was going to hug me. Thankfully there was a big counter between us. Then as I turned to leave she said, "A couple years ago I wanted to buy a nice camera but I got a wedding band instead." She then pointed to her ring-less finger and said, "Yeah. That didn't work out so well for me." I didn't know what to say! So I just thanked her for her help, told her to have a nice weekend, and walked out.

This is why I didn't sign up to do the therapy kind of social work.

quick update.

Happy new year everyone!! I was thinking I would be posting all this stuff while I was on vacation from school but appparently I was wrong because I go back tomorrow. Yikes!! Hope you all had a nice and relaxing holiday and new year.

I have the best husband in the world because he gave me my dream wedding cake for Christmas. Not only did it look amazing but it tastes even better! And just so you know, fondant, while it looks really pretty, does not taste that great. Edible, but not great. But Jesse knew I would want fondant because that is what I see on Ace of Cakes so he paid more to get it for me. I seriously could not have asked for a better husband!!!
