celebrating my trailer park heritage.

My parents lived in a trailer park once. Twice. It was before I was their child. And even though there is no biological relationship between us, I believe a trailer park heritage is fully nurture and not nature.

Saturday night Jesse and I attended our first monster truck rally. Detroit was alive with rednecks as Larry the Cable Guy was doing a show at the Fox Theater. I'm pretty sure Taylor was empty on Saturday night. Besides hearing that I needed to take some ear plugs, I had no idea what to expect. I have to say I was a little disappointed. The "track" they raced on wasn't very big or exciting. It is possible that I just didn't understand all the rules and the technical aspects of the race and that is why I was bored to tears. I did, however, buy the t-shirt and will wear it proudly.

And because I care about you, my reader, I will share this video of the championship race of the evening. Grave Digger took on Blue Thunder. I was sure Grave Digger would win because that truck was on all the t-shirts and hats. Blue Thunder, however, was victorious on Saturday night.
So, enjoy!
