The World Series is over. And I'm not celebrating. It wasn't supposed to end like this. The Tigers that played in the ALDS and the ALCS were supposed to show up to play the WS. Instead, a team that wouldn't be able to compete in a Triple-A Championship game showed up. They played like we expected them to play all season, not like they are clearly capable of playing. And definitely not like a team that deserved to be at the freaking World Series. I'm not sure what happened to them. They played a lot of games. The weather has been awful. Not a lot of players had post season experience. But really, I expected them to get their shit together and play ball for a couple more games. I know they tried their best and none of them gave up. But damn. What a way to end the season. The Cards played well but not that well! They didn't have to play that well to beat the Tigers. I'm so sad today. I feel like someone just died. All I can think about is the losses and I'm trying so hard to focus on the happy moments. A little dramatic for just a game, eh?
Is it time to start planning spring training trip yet?
