Insomnia set in big time last night and I was not able to fall asleep until 5:30 this morning. It wasn't such a big deal since I didn't have to get up for anything this morning. I think I set my alarm for 10AM sometime after Jesse left but I don't really remember doing it. I remember hitting snooze a lot. And then at 11AM the doorbell rang. I decided to not answer it because I sleep in the nude and jumping up to put clothes on and running downstairs to find the UPS or Fedex guy has already taken off just didn't sound like fun. So I laid there and pretended to not hear it. And then it rang again. And again. And just as I was considering getting up there was pounding on the front door. Oh shit! It must be someone that is in trouble or something. UPS/Fedex are just not that tenacious!! So I quickly pulled on some shorts and a sweatshirt and ran downstairs. I opened the door and the kid across the street, Jamaal, was walking back to his house. When he heard me open the door he turned and came back and said, "Can we borrow your lawn mower?" Um. Can I kick you in the balls you little asshole? His dad was standing on their porch and yelled, "Oh did we wake you up?" I didn't have my glasses on so I couldn't see anything. My hair was probably all matted to my head. The shorts I pulled on are at least 2 sizes too big so I was holding on to them because I didn't take the time to put on any underwear since I thought there was an emergency at my front door. "Yes. Um. I'm not feeling well." was my reply. It was the nicest thing I could come up with. Everything else started out with the 'f' word and that just isn't the way to make nice with the neighbors. So I met Jamaal in the back yard and dragged the lawn mower out with one hand since the other hand was still making sure my shorts stayed up.
I took a shower and went to the grocery store. We decided to have Boboli pizza for dinner tonight. I just haven't felt like eating lately so really haven't felt like cooking! I walked up every aisle in the Jack TWICE before I found the stupid Boboli. But everything is okay. Because there. Across the crowded grocery store. Our eyes locked. That's right. Major Peters Bloody Mary Mix. For sale. At the Jack. *sigh* All is right with the world again.
