I just went out to check the tomato plants and one was gone. Something ate it. Bastard!! I planted another one. I'm going to run out soon and I won't be happy. I mean, there were still 5 that hadn't been eaten but now it's a matter of principle. If I plant 6 I am going to have 6 at the end. I did find ground red pepper in the cupboard so I sprinkled a ton of it around the plants and the marigolds. There is so much that the plants look kind of orange now. Jesse mentioned buying me a bb gun. It might be time. I will just have to figure out how to shoot from the porch. That might mean cutting a hole in the screen. Hopefully it will cool down soon because it is really too hot to sit outside all day and night waiting to shoot a squirrel.
