Let's see. The truth.
Last week I helped my ex-coworker with a couple volunteer trainings. It was really strange to be back there and not get paid. Not that they paid me much when I was an official employee anyway. The first person I ran into was the accounting dude. He kind of looked at me oddly and said, "Hi." and kept walking. Then a few minutes later I saw him again and he looked at me oddly and said, "you don't work here anymore." Then I said, "what? OH SHIT!" and ran out the door. Not really. I really just laughed at him.
Friday afternoon Jesse and I hopped in the car and drove to Cleveland. It rained the entire way (all 3.5 hours) and I was sure we would get there just in time for them to postpone the Tigs vs. Indians game that we were planning on seeing.
We got there and the tarp was on the field. Damn. All that way to not see baseball?

We decided to find our seats anyway. There weren't many people at the game.

And then. Lo and behold! The grounds crew began to remove the tarp! Check out all the water on the field. Insane!! But the grounds crew knew what they were doing. The game started on time and the Tigers won!

Here is my favorite young fan sitting a couple rows in front of us. It rained throughout the game. While feeding this young child several meat byproducts his parents kept him dry by wrapping a trash bag around him. We called him White Trash. Nice burger.
