i beat the squirrel.

Something (I think a squirrel) has been eating my tomato plants and the flowers off the marigolds. Whatever it is has taken off with about 5 of the tomato plants. Luckily I had extras and was able to replace them. Julie's mom said to put some ground red pepper around the plants and that should keep them away. Last night I put some crushed red peppers (I didn't have any ground) around them and nothing has eaten the plants yet! Yay Julie!! I hope the marigolds continue to flower because if they don't I'm going to have to go buy more. I beat the squirrel. I'll beat the tomato worms!

This morning I was up until almost 6AM. The Benadryl never made me sleepy. When I finally did fall asleep I had strange dreams again. When I take Benadryl before bed I have scary dreams. They are often about someone chasing me or attacking me and I try to scream for help but I can't. And then I wake up and am all freaked out. I hate scary dreams! I hate allergies!!

I'm really sleepy but we have tickets to the Tigers game tonight. Hopefully they won't get shut out again!

Did you stay until the end on Tuesday? I was trying to watch the Minnesota/Angels game on MLB Extra Innings and I missed the first few innings because it was on the same channel as the Tigers/Yankees game. Not that I would normally mind watching the Tigers. To the contrary, I'm trying to watch them more.

It was just that Jeff Weaver was pitching. And he's my favorite. And of course he just happened to have a great game, unusually for him this season. So I was disappointed twice. For the Tigers to lose to the hated Yanks and to miss a rare time when I can see Weaves.

we did stay until the end!! so disappointing!! sounds like it was a disappointing night for all of us. except those awful awful yankees. i enjoyed jeff weaver when he was with the tigs! but then i lost all respect when he went to the yanks. but i'm glad to hear he's with the angels now!

Jeff Weaver Update: He's sucking more and more. Last night he made two errors in one inning. I'm not sure that's a record but it sure made him lookk stupid and incompetent. One more loss and he'll have 10. I may have to switch to his brother Jered (3-0) as my favorite pitcher.
