happy birthday to me!

Saturday was my 23rd birthday. Of course I'm not 23. Last year was my 38th birthday. I like to think its funny to make up different ages for myself. It's my birthday so laugh.

I met Joel and Amanda at Gibraltar Trade Center in lovely Taylor, MI to get autographs from Johnny Grubb and Nelson Simmons, both 1984 Tigers. We also did a little shopping. I didn't buy this but I really wanted to!

Amanda, the elementary art teacher, was kind enough to pose the sculptures for the photo.

I haven't scanned the polaroid photos of me with the baseball players yet. As soon as I do I will be sure to post them. Joel said that some day when I am long gone someone will come across my collection of autographed polaroids of me with baseball players and think, "Wow, these would be really valuable except for that damn Asian chick in the photos." Just for that I'm willing them to him. Asshole.

Speaking of Joel, after GTC we went to Mexican Village (more commonly known as Mexicantown but I'm old school) for dinner at Xochimilco. YUMMY!! Lots of chicken enchilada and margaritas (on the rocks, with salt, of course!). We ended up back at Parker St. so I could give Joel and Amanda their presents from the trip to Florida. Drank more beer. And then some more beer.

Here's my maid of honor and I sitting on the front porch drinking beer. The bride is the one with the 40 oz in the paper bag. That's one classy bitch (I bet she'd look good driving a GMC Yukon... teeheee!!)!!

Jesse was at his friend's wedding that I refused to go to because how dare they get married on my 23rd birthday?? We ended up calling him and harrassing him until he ran right home with more beer (we ran out) and cigarettes (we had none to begin with). Kristin came over and we all hung out and had lots of beer and laughs. Ah happy birthday to me!!
