Yesterday was the first day of all-star game activities and I am already exhausted. We are getting ready to head out for day two. Today is Fanfest and then this evening is the Homerun Derby. The Futures game and the Legends/Celebrities Softball Game last night were pretty fun. Jesse couldn't go because he had to do improv but Joel and I went and had a blast. Uh, I mean, it sucked (I had to tell Jesse it sucked so he didn't feel bad about missing it. I suppose I just blew my cover since he reads this. I don't think I was very good at hiding my excitement and fun in the first place.). I had a hard time paying attention to the Futures game because they were constantly changing players and it was 87 degrees and very uncomfortable. We moved to seats in the shade and it was a little better. For the softball game we moved down to seats behind home plate. It was fun to see Willie Horton, Lou Whitaker, Mark Fidrych, lots of players! And Jon Lovitz and Billy Bob Thornton were funny to watch. Chris Webber played and got booed. Everytime he came up to bat people yelled, "TIME OUT!" and I wanted to punch them in their faces.
I would love to bore you with more stories but we need to hit IHOP before Fanfest. Busy day.
