i can type.
The federal government is requiring us to use a program to track homeless people. The agency I work for is requiring all of us who will use the program to take a typing test. It's ridiculous for a couple reasons. First of all, the program is mostly using the mouse to choose items on drop down boxes. I think you might have to type in the name and birthdate and partial social security number and that's it. Oh, maybe a former address or something. Second, when I asked if I flunk the typing test, do I still have to use the program I was told yes. So what is the point of making me take a typing test if you are going to make me use it anyway?? Oh and they set passing threshold at 30 words per minute. I went to take my typing test today. At first my plan was to flunk. Then my test-taking instincts kicked in and I rocked the test. That's right, I type 90 words per minute. Too bad that won't be useful for this program!
