I love the D.

I've never done this blog thing and I'm not really sure what the hell I'm supposed to write. Let's hope I figure it out very soon. I've always been a journal-er but I don't share that with anyone...everyone? And if there is someone out there who has read my journal, fuck you. (And if you read something bad about you, I meant it then and I probably mean it more now.)

Jesse said I should do this because apparently I have a lot to say about what happens in the world. But mostly what I have to say about the neighborhood next door, Indian Village. When we moved I decided to get on their association Yahoo group. Jesse said they sent out security updates and just stuff about the neighborhood. I thought it would be a great way to keep abreast hahahhahahaa of what's going on but it hasn't really turned out that way.

Indian Village is a historic neighborhood on the east side of Detroit. Here's an article all about it.

Part of me feels bad about judging the emails I read because I am pretty sure the authors of the emails are good people and just might not realize the way they are coming off. Basically, they sound like a bunch of rich, mostly white, people who feel they deserve more and better than pretty much the rest of the city. They probably don't really feel that way. But since I have not taken the time to get to know any of them, or ask any questions, I think bad thoughts about them anyway. No fun emails have been sent in a few days so I don't have any good examples. I'll be sure to post the juicy excerpts when I see them.

I have lots to say about lots of things so I think this is going to be interesting...
