happy new year

We're heading up to Mackinac Island to dig the fudgies out of the snow. I feel really silly writing this so nobody can read it. Happy new year.

security report from Indian Village psychic...

Report from Dusing patrol - gold Saturn no brake light or tail light on the passenger side - passenger side was damaged also with missing head light. Driving North on Burns, West on Kercheval, South on Iroquois, East on Jefferson, then went little further past McDonalds, they shut their lights off and disappeared at 3:55PM. About 5minutes later they came back West on Charlevoix, South on Seminole, East on Vernor, North on Burns, West on Charlevoix, North on Van Dyke toward Gratiot. They were driving very slow - slowing down almost stopping near any car parked on the street. The only reason they didn't stop in the neighborhood or steal a car was I was behind them. They will be back!! They will keep trying, hoping one day noone will be watching. They may use a different car - please be aware especially at Owens Park Apartments and anyone parking on the street - do not leave anything on your seat or in view of passing people (in cars or walkers). It may be a good idea to invest in a Club.

so...if they hadn't been followed, they would have ditched the car they were driving to steal one? why would i want to invest in a club when you are watching so closely?

sad sad day.

We will miss you Jerry.

I love the D.

I've never done this blog thing and I'm not really sure what the hell I'm supposed to write. Let's hope I figure it out very soon. I've always been a journal-er but I don't share that with anyone...everyone? And if there is someone out there who has read my journal, fuck you. (And if you read something bad about you, I meant it then and I probably mean it more now.)

Jesse said I should do this because apparently I have a lot to say about what happens in the world. But mostly what I have to say about the neighborhood next door, Indian Village. When we moved I decided to get on their association Yahoo group. Jesse said they sent out security updates and just stuff about the neighborhood. I thought it would be a great way to keep abreast hahahhahahaa of what's going on but it hasn't really turned out that way.

Indian Village is a historic neighborhood on the east side of Detroit. Here's an article all about it.

Part of me feels bad about judging the emails I read because I am pretty sure the authors of the emails are good people and just might not realize the way they are coming off. Basically, they sound like a bunch of rich, mostly white, people who feel they deserve more and better than pretty much the rest of the city. They probably don't really feel that way. But since I have not taken the time to get to know any of them, or ask any questions, I think bad thoughts about them anyway. No fun emails have been sent in a few days so I don't have any good examples. I'll be sure to post the juicy excerpts when I see them.

I have lots to say about lots of things so I think this is going to be interesting...
